Thinking outside the “God”

Can we think outside the box?  How about Can we think outside the “God”?  What I mean by that is: Is it possible for us to step outside of our comfort zone and stop selfishly perceiving God as the ideal being that serves every desire of our hearts?  Can we stop putting the image of God in a little box and define Him based on our personal values and conveniences?  I think it is time to live a real relationship with the Almighty by first emptying ourselves from all the preconceptions that separate us from each other and keeps us comfortable in our little happy worlds.  I think it is time to have a sincere search of this mysterious God.  Let us step outside of the traditional, legalistic, man-made notion of what God should be.  Let us begin by first admitting our dependence on Him, being meek, fighting for justice, being a peacemaker, having clean hearts, and serving others.   Our experiences with poverty, hunger, the injustice, the wars, the vanities, and all those things that make us less human and more like selfish machines, should rather make us disgusted, and wake us all up to the realization that we should act against them.  So instead of condemning and judging, and dividing us even more (which I think is the definition of evil), we should unite and fight to end the suffering.   This is what the Kingdom of Heaven is all about. But first, we need to think outside the “God”.
